      I remember thinking at the time I took it, that often, pigeons, gulls and other common wild animals are the unnoticed complementary subjects in the background of images where the human kind is the main protagonist. As the lover of birds (and wildlife) I am, I wanted to play a small innocent revenge on that, making the little funny-behaving humans in this picture the unnoticed, unimportant, almost could-do-without element in a photograph where the powerful flight of the gull is the supreme element. It would be great to find out whether or not the gull thinks my portrait of him achieved that… 😉
